I would not recommend this job to anyone. Lots of heavy lifting was involved with the BARRELS of frosting that you had to use and the massive boxes of frozen donuts and bread (not to mention the partially broken cart that you had to push around that held everything.) The pay was bad especially for the amount and type of work that you're doing. Only one 15 minute break was given and sometimes I was so busy I couldn't even take that. We were so low staffed that if I needed to take a sick day I was guilt-tripped, and when someone else needed to take a sick day I had to cover or else no one else could. The work/family balance was non-existent. I worked from 12 am to whatever time I finished, which varied from 7 am to 10 am. I fried and decorated the donuts, set up the frozen donuts/bread to rise for the next day, sliced and packaged the bread, baked the bread and pastries, and frosted/decorated the cakes and cupcakes. Looking back on this job, I am so glad that I left when I did.
